The Pittsburgh Pirates have struggled to put runs on the board all season, and even more so lately. I think they can get their bats going here though against rookie right-hander Zack Thompson (0-0, 2.25 ERA) who has only one MLB start, which lasted four innings, to his name.

The Cards hand the ball to Mitch Keller (2-5, 5.26 ERA) who has pitched better of late, but it has still been a disappointing year for the right-hander. Home or away has not mattered much as he has a 5+ ERA both home and on the road.

Over is 4-1-1 in Cardinals last 6 home games with the total set at 9.0-10.5 and 2-0-2 in Pirates last 4 games with the total set at 9.0-10.5.
