The Houston Astros have picked up pace following a slow start and Detroit is heading in the opposite direction with just one win in its last nine games, but I think the Tigers can keep this close.

Houston right-hander Jose Urquidy (2-1, 5.95 ERA) could certainly have had a better start to the year while Tigers' left-hander Tarik Skubal has posted a 3.05 ERA in four starts this season. They have won two of his four starts outright and Houston is batting only .202 while averaging 3.49 R/9 against left-handers.
