The Dallas Mavericks have averaged 121 ppg while splitting a couple of high-scoring affairs against New Orleans and Portland, but I think points will be harder to come by here at Denver Tuesday night with the home team looking to slow down the tempo.

They were just outside of the top 10 for defensive efficiency (the number of points a team allows per 100 possessions) last season and it looks like Denver will be hard to beat on the defensive end of the hardwood this season as well.
