The Pittsburgh Pirates put an 11-2 beating on the San Francisco Giants Friday night, and I think they'll score plenty of runs again here on Saturday when facing Jeff Samardzija on the mound.

Samardzija (1-2, 6.62 ERA) gave up five runs and four hits (two homers) and three walks in four frames of an 11-0 loss against Philadelphia his last time out. He has walked 13 through 17 2/3 innings on the season.

The Pirates turn to Chad Kuhl (4-2, 4.12 ERA) who fanned eight through seven scoreless innings of one-hit ball of a 9-0 Pittsburgh triumph at Milwaukee his last time out. Kuhl owns a 36/12 K/BB ratio over 39 1/3 innings of work this year.

Pirates are 8-2 in Kuhls last 10 home starts.
