The Lakers are riding a three-game winning streak, including a victory at Atlanta and wins against Golden State and Phoenix here at Staples Center. Dallas has had its way with the Lakers in recent seasons as its going for its 11th consecutive win in the series. This is a completely different Lakers team than the one they've beaten up on in previous years though, and the Lakers are stacked with talent finally allowed to flourish after taking the backseat to Kobe Bryan. Add the fact that the Mavs are likely to be without two key starters in Dirk Nowtizki and Deron Williams, and I think we have a solid play on the Lakers to win and cover the spread.
