The New York Rangers are a perfect 2-0-0 home at Madison Square Garden on the season, and this looks like a good spot to back the Rangers as they host the Detroit Red Wings Wednesday night.

Detroit is coming off a 5-1 win against Ottawa in its home opener, but it has lost each of its two games on the road and is 5-18 in its last 23 away from home with last season included. The team is giving opponents plenty of shooting opportunities with a total of 106 shots surrendered through its first three games, and that could spell big trouble here with the Rangers averaging more than 34 shots per game.

New York is also likely to turn to star netminder Henrik Lundqvist again after the Swede sat out Monday's 7-4 victory against New York. Lundqvist has three shutouts in 10 games against Detroit. Red Wings are 3-7 in the last 10 meetings overall and 0-6 in the last six meetings at MSG. This is a great price on the home team.
