The red hot Houston Astros have won seven of their past eight games after a 6-2 win against the Tampa Bay Rays on Saturday. I predict more success for the Astros on Sunday as they go for the sweep of this three-game set.

Doug Fister (12-8, 3.59) takes the ball for Houston. He held the Pirates to three hits over seven scoreless innings with six strikeouts and one walk his last time out. Astros are 6-1 in Fister's last seven starts during Game 3 of a series and 11-3 in Fister's last 14 starts following a Quality Start in his last appearance.

The Rays turn to their ace Chris Archer (7-17, 4.11 ERA). He's 3-5 since the All-Star break despite compiling a respectable 2.94 ERA. Run support has been scarce for him all season long, and that should be the case today again. We can also note that Archer is 4-8 with a bloated ERA of 5.97 on the road this season.

Archer owns a 3-2 record with a 1.31 ERA in six starts against Houston, so the Rays might have a slight advantage regarding starting pitchers. The Astros have a huge bullpen advantage though (3.38 ERA vs. 4.15 ERA) and the Rays' relievers had to put in some heavy work yesterday as Blake Snell left yesterday's contest one batter into the fourth inning due to an injury.
