(MLB) LA Angels vs. Detroit,
Point Spread: -1.50 | 100.00 Detroit (Home)
Result: Loss
Play: Detroit Tigers -1.5
Rating: 8*

The Detroit Tigers won the opener of a three-game set with the Los Angeles Angels 4-2 last night. I like the Tigers to pick up a big win on Saturday behind Michael Fulmer.

Fulmer (10-4, 2.58) was knocked around for a season-high six runs on 10 hits over 5 2/3 innings in a loss to Boston his last time out. A rare misstep for the 23 year old who dominated the Angels in Los Angeles on June 1 with 7 2/3 scoreless innings of two-hit ball. The Tigers are 15-3 in Fulmer's last 18 starts and I expect a solid outing from him tonight.

Brett Oberholtzer (3-2, 5.27 ERA) will make his first start of the season and fourth appearance for Los Angeles as he takes the ball at Comerica Park tonight. He's worked out of the bullpen for both the Phillies and the Halos this season, and I think he's about the get lit up by this dangerous Detroit team. Oberholzer has only faced Detroit twice in his career, going 0-1 with a 3.65 ERA.

The Tigers are riding a five-game winning streak while the Angels are 5-16 in their last 21 overall.
