The Milwaukee Brewers and the San Diego Padres are tied at 1-1 heading into the rubber match of this series Wednesday afternoon. The Brew Crew have won seven of their last nine games and this looks like a good spot to back the visitors with Junior Guerra on the mound.

Guerra (7-2, 2.70 ERA) is an excellent 4-1 with a 1.47 ERA over his last seven starts and held the Pirates to one run on four hits through 8 2/3 innings of a 3-1 win his last time out. Guerra blanked San Diego on two hits over six innings in Milwaukee earlier this season and the 31 year old owns a 2-0 record in seven road starts on the year.

The Padres turn to Edwin Jackson (1-2, 5.46) who will make his fourth start since coming over from Miami (5.19 ERA through the first three). He was tagged with six runs on 10 hits and two walks over five innings in a 6-0 loss to Cincinnati his last time out and he's 5-7 with a 3.89 ERA in 17 career games (14 starts) against the Brewers. Ryan Braun is 9-for-29 with five doubles and four walks in previous matchups with Jackson.

Milwaukee sent catcher Jonathan Lucroy to Texas at the trade deadline, but it has plenty of young prospects looking to step up.
