MLB *LATE SHOW*
(MLB) Boston vs. Seattle,
Money Line: -127.00 Seattle (Home)
Result: Loss
Play: Seattle Mariners
Rating: 8*

The Seattle Mariners blew a 6-0 lead last night to end the week with a 7-6 loss at Wrigley Field. I like them to bounce back with a win as they host the Boston Red Sox on Monday.

Left-hander James Paxton (3-5, 4.27) will take the ball for the home team. He's allowed just four runs on nine hits with 14 Ks in 12 innings through his last two starts. Paxton scattered five hits over eight scoreless innings of a victory on May 17, 2015 in his only previous meeting with Boston.

The Red Sox turn to another left-hander in Eduardo Rodriguez (2-4, 6.51 ERA). He's posted an ugly 7.08 ERA through four road starts this season and Boston has lost five of his last six starts. Rodriguez gave up three hits in 5 1/3 innings against the Tigers his last time out, but it could have been so much worse with nine hits and three walks allowed.

Mariners are 7-1 in their last eight games following a loss and that's my top angle for this game.
