Play: Washington Nationals
Rating: 10*

The San Francisco Giants defeated the Washington Nationals 5-2 on Saturday, just their third win in their last 14 games. The Nats had won the first two of this four-game set and I like the price we get on Washington in the series finale on Sunday.

The struggling Matt Cain (2-6, 5.95) will toe the slab for the Giants. He's worked just a total of 11 1/3 innings through his last three starts while surrendering 12 runs on 17 hits, seven walks and serving up five homers. Cain has a 5-5 record and 3.64 ERA in 15 career starts against the Nationals and current Nats hitters are batting a combined .277 over 137 at bats against the veteran.

The Nats turn to left-hander Gio Gonzalez (6-8, 4.44 ERA) who is 3-3 with a 3.33 ERA in nine career starts against San Francisco. Gonzalez is 2-1 behind a solid 3.00 ERA in four starts so far in July.

Nationals are 7-2 in their last nine after allowing five runs or more in their previous game and the Nats are looking good to bounce back with a win.
