Rating: 10*

The Boston Rex Sox have not completed a three-game sweep of the Yankees in the Bronx since June 7-9, 2011, and I don't think they'll do it tonight either.

David Price (9-6 , 4.34 ERA) tossed eight scoreless innings his last outing before the All Star break. The Red Sox ace was however knocked around for six runs on seven hits and three walks in 4 2/3 innings of an 8-2 loss at Yankee Stadium on May 7, only a week after being tagged with six runs in seven innings by the Yankees home at Fenway.

New York's Masahiro Tanaka (6-2, 3.23 ERA) is 4-2 with a 4.79 ERA in eight career starts against the Red Sox, but he held them to a pair of runs in 6 2/3 innings on May 29 in the most recent meeting. Tanaka was lit up by the Tribe his last time out when he surrendered seven runs (three earned) through 4 2/3 frames. The Yankees still won the game 11-7, and they've won each of Tanaka's last five starts.

I expect a much better performance from the Japanese after the break as he's 5-0 with a 1.72 ERA in 10 starts with more than four days off this year and 1-2 with a 5.33 in his other eight this. Yankees are 7-1 in Tanaka's last eight home starts and they'll have plenty of motivation to avoid getting swept by their division rival.
