This is an 8* O/U EAST-COAST EXPRESS on the UNDER between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Boston Celtics.
Neither of these teams have played particularly well to start the year and while each has put some points on the board of late, I think tonight's game sets up as a more defensive affair and feel that the sharp move in this one on the UNDER. LeBron James and the Cavs are coming off a 118-111 win over New Orleans on Monday, LBJ would finish with 32 points, 11 boards and nine assists. The Cavs are now coming off back to back high-scoring games, but from a trend based stand point, all signs definitely point to an UNDER coming here; note that Cleveland has seen the total go UNDER the number in both games that it's played this year vs. teams with losing records. Cleveland also had a 110-101 win over struggling Denver on November 7th, but remember, it had averaged just 96.5 points in its first four games, in my opinion the book is still out on this offense. Boston has struggled defensively, but certainly doesn't need any more motivation to improve on that end of the court when looking across the court at its opponent today; note the C's will also be motivated to atone for a lacklustre 109-94 home loss to the Thunder on Wednesday, playing without stars Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook. There has been a lot of personnel turnover for both of these teams from this year to last, but note that the home side has seen the total go UNDER the number in 32 of its last 52 after allowing 105 points or more. I think the oddsmakers are not giving these teams enough respect on the defensive end, and much too much respect for their offensive apptitude, when you add it all up, all signs do indeed point to the UNDER as the savvy wager.
