This is an 8* play on the UNDER between the Detroit Red Wings and the Ottawa Senators.
Both of these teams have played to some higher scoring affairs of late, but when the smoke clears at the end of this one, I expect this total to sneak below the posted number. Detroit is coming off a 3-2 shootout loss at Buffalo on Sunday. The home side will be looking for revenge here after Detroit took both games in Ottawa by a 10-3 margin last year. I think the Wings run into a buzzsaw today though, note that Sens' goaltender Craig Anderson has a pedestrian 2.38 GAA, but his .934 save percentage is among the best in the league. But the Sens are looking to start things off on the "right foot" as they embark on a four-game stretch at home where they're 2-0-2 thus far. But note, Ottawa is going to struggle as well offensively in my opinion, Wings' tender Jimmy Howard owns a very respectable 1.95 GAA this year. Note that Detroit has seen the total go UNDER the number in 4 of 5 vs. division opponents this year, while Ottawa has seen it dip below the number in three of four vs. teams with winning records. All signs point do indeed point to the UNDER as the sharp wager in this one.
