This is an 8* BLOCKBUSTER on the Cincinnati Bengals.
Cincinnati opened the year with three straight victories, but has since gone 0-2-1; with its back against the wall, I think the home side finds a way to get the job done today: "We've got a lot of details to be better at, and to challenge ourselves to be better at, and we have to do it very quickly," coach Marvin Lewis said. The Bengals beat Baltimore 23-16 on September 7th, but I'm not taking the revenge factor into account here, the the home side's recent struggles negate that angle in my opinion. Baltimore is now 5-2 and has outscored its opponents 77-24 in back to back wins, but I think has a letdown here. The home side will be especially hungry after last week's listless 27-0 setback at Indianapolis. Note though that Baltimore has dropped seven of its last nine in Cincinnati. This is almost do or die for the home side, note that the Bengals are 13-6 ATS in their last 19 home games, while the Ravens are just 5-8 ATS in their last 13 after two or more consecutive SU victories. I believe that the situation, the numbers and the trends all point to CINCINNATI as the the sharp wager in this one.
