My window of opportunity to get my analysis written properly today went from 8 hours, down to 1. Sorry about that. I think the home side can keep this one close enough to sneak in through the back door down the stretch. The Nittany Lions are looking to break a two-game skid, while Ohio State comes in as one of the hottest teams in the Nation. I think the Buckeyes get caught looking ahead here though, leaving the backdoor open just enough for the home side to sneak in through. The Buckeyes are led by QB JT Barrett, who has 17 TDs and one INT over his last five games. The Buckeyes run game is stout as well. However, take note that the Nittany Lions defense will be far and away the best unit that Ohio State has faced this year. I think it's going to be a rude wake up call for Barrett today. In fact, Penn State's run defense is the best in the nation. The big test for the home side will be on the offensive side of the ball, the Buckeyes are one of the best in the nation defensively. But Ohio State's biggest weakness is in the secondary, look for Nittany Lion's QB Hackenberg to take advantage here. Note that Ohio State is just 5-6 ATS in its last 11 as a 10.5 to 21 points favorite, while Penn State is 11-6 ATS in its last 17 in front of the home town crowd. The situation, the numbers and the trends all point to PENN STATE as the sharp wager in this one.
