This is an 8* EAST-COAST EXPRESS on the Ottawa Senators.
The Sens are looking to extended their best start to a season in seven years and will catch a break as the Leafs are coming in off a satisfying win at Long Island last night. Ottawa is coming off a 3-2 win over Columbus on Saturday, Robin Rehner had 38 saves for the second time in as many starts; note that fellow netminder Craig Anderson is 2-1-0 with a 2.01 GAA thus far. Normally the Leafs would present a pretty difficult challenge, they've scored 19 goals in five wins, scoring only once in two losses against Detroit, but I think come in with "heavy legs" after last night's big victory. The Buds will go with James Reimer, who is 2-1-0 with a 2.87 GAA this year. Note though, already 0-3 (-3.4 units) vs. division opponents this year, Toronto is 17-23 (-4.8 units) in the same position over the last two. Conversely, Ottawa is already 2-0 (+2.6 units) vs. division opponents this season, and 20-17 (+3.5 units) in the same position over the last two. No need to overanalyze this one, it may not be pretty, but I like the home side to take advantage of a tired Leafs club and to find a way to get the job done at the end of the night; play on OTTAWA.
