AAA's THU NIGHT *Giants/Redskins* NFC EAST TOTAL BLOCKBUSTER!
(NFL) NY Giants vs. Washington,
Total: 46.00 | -119.00 Under
Result: Win
Total: 46.00 | -119.00 Under
Result: Win
This is an 8* TOTAL BLOCKBUSTER on the OVER between the New York Giants and the Washington Redskins.
These divisional foes played to a couple of "unders" last year, but that was then and this is now, for a number of different reasons, I expect this total to eclipse the number as the game comes down the stretch. This is an important game obviously, each team comes into this contest at 1-2, both looking up at 2-1 Dallas and 3-0 Philadelphia. New York comes in with momentum after its big 30-17 win over the Texans and I think can carry that momentum over here against a Redskins defensive unit that was burned for 37 in a setback vs. the Eagles last week. Washington also lost a couple of key pieces on the defensive side of the ball in DeAngelo Hall and Duke Ihenacho, both gone for the remainder of the season with serious injuries (in fact, the Skins would list 17 players on the injury report on Monday). New York will look for any advantage it can get on the short week, a bright spot in the win over Houston was the play of RB Rashad Jennings, who had a career-high 176 rushing yards. With Jennings shouldering some of the load, Giants' QB Eli Manning looked a lot better, he was 21 of 28 for 234 yards and two major scores and zero INT's. The Texans had a difficult time moving the ball last week against New York, but neither the Lions or Cardinals did in their victories against the Giants, they'd put up a combined 60 points on the G-Men. And I think that's bad news for New York, the Redskins are second in the NFL in averaging a whopping 444 yards per game after Kirk Cousins made his first start of the year in place of the injured Robert Griffin III; note that Cousins was 30 of 48 for 427 yards and three TD's in last week's loss to Philly. Cousins has been complimented by Washington RB Alfred Morris who is fourth in the league 253 yards thus far. I think both of these teams will put up some big numbers offensively today, all signs point to the OVER as the sharp wager in this contest.
