Indians' starter Carlos Carrasco has been decent of late, but I think he runs into a buzzsaw today as the Astros look to avoid a seventh consecutive loss in the series. Carrasco (5-4, 3.27 ERA) re-joined the rotation recently and has yet to give up a run, scattering five hits with no walks in winning both of his outings. So is it time to crown Carrasco? No way, not in my opinion anyways; note that the right-hander had gone 0-12 with a deplorable 8.09 ERA over his previous 17 starts, going 0-3 with a ballooned 6.95 ERA to start 2014 before being moved to the bullpen. Cleveland has won seven of its last ten but will be hungry to return to form here following yesterday's lackluster 4-1 loss at Minnesota. Houston comes to town after falling 3-0 to the Yanks, the Astros had won their previous three and send Brad Peacock (3-8, 5.47 ERA) to the hill to counter; Peacock has been the very definition of a "gas can" all year most recently getting shelled for six runs over 4 1/3's innings in his team's 10-7 loss at Boston. Note that Peacock is 0-3 with a 10.80 ERA over his last five starts. I think these inconsistent starters get chased early and this total goes OVER the number as the game comes down the stretch.
