AAA's VERY EARLY INTERLEAGUE TOTAL "ASSASSIN!"
(MLB) St. Louis vs. Baltimore,
Total: 8.50 | 100.00 Over
Result: Loss
This is an 8* TOTAL ASSASSIN on the UNDER between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Baltimore Orioles.

After back-to-back high-scoring affairs, I look for tonight's interleague finale to finally fall below the posted number. The O's have been an explosive team all season, but their combined 22-5 score over the first two games of this series is ridiculous; suffice it to say, I expect the line-up to finally come back down to Earth tonight. The Cards will certainly be eager for a better performance all the way around, the lop-sided beatdown dropped them to 7-12 their last 19 overall (note that St. Louis has lost six of its last eight vs. the Junior Circuit, averaging just 2.4 runs while batting .222). St. Louis is going to have its hands full again today though with Kevin Gausman (6-3, 3.77 ERA) who is looking for a third-straight win, he's 2-0 with a very respectable 3.20 ERA over his past three outings; while not at his best on Monday, Gausman came through with a victory in Washington by allowing three runs and eight hits over six frames (note that Gausman is 4-1 with a 3.20 ERA over his last five home starts, giving up just two dingers in 30 innings). The desperate visiting side counters with Lance Lynn (11-8, 2.89 ERA) who has posted a "lights out" 1.63 ERA and a .204 opponents batting average over his last six starts, going just 3-2 in that span while receiving just 13 runs of support (note that Lynn has posted a minuscule 1.32 ERA in four interleague starts this year). I think the writing is on the wall, after back to back slugfests, expect these two starters to battle each other into the latter frames and for this total to sneak UNDER the posted number.
