AAA's VERY EARLY SITUATIONAL PITCHING MISMATCH! +$15,000 MLB Y-T-D!
(MLB) Detroit vs. Toronto,
Money Line: -116.00 Detroit (Away)
Result: Loss
This is an 8* SITUATIONAL PITCHING MISMATCH on the Detroit Tigers.

The clear talent discrepancy on the mound absolutely justifies in laying this very reasonable price. The visitors were "lucky" last night, they scored 3 runs in the top of the ninth and escaped with a 1 run victory; suffice it to say, I look for them to build off that momentum and confidence building performance. Detroit sends Max Scherzer (13-4, 3.24 ERA) to the hill; Scherzer has given up just three earned runs once in his last eight outings, going 5-1 with a very respectable 2.14 ERA in the process. Most recently he'd give up two runs off nine hits with three walks over seven frames in his team's 2-1 road loss to the Yanks on Monday. A date vs. the Jays is just what the doctor ordered for Scherzer to get back into the win column though, he's 4-1 with a tiny 1.79 ERA in his last six starts vs. them (note that all three played in Toronto have resulted in wins). The Blue Jays are spiralling down the proverbial crapper, they've lost six of their last seven in which they've scored just 17 runs. The home side turns to Marcus Stroman (7-3, 3.49 ERA) who is coming off his worst outing of the season after getting shelled for five runs off seven hits over just three frames in his team's 6-1 loss in Houston on Sunday. Stroman faces a tough task today, I'm giving Scherzer the nod on the bump and that's just enough to tip the scales in our favor; play on DETROIT.
