New York will sends its most consistent pitcher to the mound in Hiroki Kuroda (7-6, 3.99 ERA); Kuroda wasn't his sharpest in his last outing but did pick up a win over Toronto Friday, allowing four runs in six innings of work. Note that Kuroda is 2-2 in 38 2/3's innings pitched against Texas with a very strong 2.08 ERA. The Japanese born pitcher went seven strong allowing just six hits and no runs to earn a win in his last start versus the Rangers earlier. Texas will counter with Colby Lewis (6-8, 6.23); the right-hander has been struggling this season and a matchup with the Yankees isn't what the doctor ordered as Lewis is 0-3 with an ERA of 6.14 against the Pinstripes life time. Lewis has struggled in Texas, he's just 1-5 with an ugly ERA of 8.40 this season. Note that Texas is just 20-33 at home this year, while the Yankees are 7-2 as a road favorite in the -125 to -145 range. Consider a second look at the YANKEES.
