We like the Detroit Red Wings to defeat the Utah Hockey Club on Monday at 9:07pm ET for a number of reasons. Here are some of the more important ones:

Detroit has played a lot better against Western Conference opponents than East -- 15-9-4 vs West.

The Red Wings are still hanging on by a thread in the Wild Card race but could be in real trouble of it loses this game.

They are 8-4-1 on the road against Western Conference opponents this season.

Utah is just 5-7-3 this season at home against Eastern Conference opponents.

The Hockey Club has been scoring lots, but have given up 13 goals in their L3 games as well.

We like Detroit here at this price.
