We like the LA Dodgers to defeat the New York Mets for a number of reasons. Here are some of the more important ones:

The Dodgers' lineup is the best in the National League. There are no soft spots.

The Dodgers' bullpen is underrated and was much better than the Mets bullpen during the season. LA relievers stymied the San Diego bets the last 2 games of the NLDS.

Senga is inexperienced and will be on a pitch count.

Flaherty was acquired from the Tigers and has been a valuable piece of the team. He will rebound from a sub-par effort in this season's first post-season start.

The Dodgers were 52-29 at home this season. They're 6-3 their last nine against the Mets, 4-0 the past four.

Expect LA to win Game 1.
