With a spread like this, the oddsmakers clearly believe that these two sides are evenly matched, and for the most part they are. They're very familiar with each other. Baltimore does play with "revenge" here after losing 17-10 in the Playoffs last year, but note that Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce are 3-1 in the regular season vs. Baltimore. Last year KC failed to cover the spread, and in fact lost outright at home as 4-point favorites to the Lions in Week 1 and they'll be looking to avoid another upset this season. One big note though, Kelce did not play in that Week 1 game last year, but he will be this season. Yes, Baltimore did add RB Derrick Henry to their line-up, but he'll need some time to adjust.
