Toronto has won four straight and eight of nine after sweeping the Diamondbacks in their first series back from the break. Toronto is now in second spot in the AL Wildcard race, but the Friars sit eight games back of the third spot in the NL. Joe Musgrove is the difference-maker for us though, as the Padres' starter is 8-2 with a 3.29 ERA overall this year, including 7-0 with a 1.79 ERA over his last nine starts (he's also 1-0 with a 1.46 ERA in three career appearances vs. Toronto.) The Jays hadn the ball to Alek Manoah (2-7, 5.91), who returned to the big leagues recently, coming off an OK start vs. the Tigers on July 7th, allowing one run and stirking out eight for his first win since April 5th. We say that Manoah gets rocked here and makes an immediate return to mediocrity; consider San Diego in this one on Tuesday night!
