Enough is enough as far as San Francisco fans are concerned! The Giants enter on a 7-game losing streak, dropping every contest so far in the second half of the season. That's a bit of a "head scratcher" though, as San Francico had won 5 of 6 going into the All Star game. Regardless, Alex Wood and the home side have drawn the line in the sand this evening. Wood is 6-8 with a 4.21 ERA (he's been at his best in all "night" games as well with a 3.28 ERA.) He'll be opposed by fellow lefty Justin Steele, who is 4-6 with a 4.02 ERA. Wood has been exceptional of late, allowing just three earned runs over his last 20 2/3's innings of work. He's also 3-2 with a 3.82 ERA in 10 career outings vs. the Cubs. Chicago has received some pretty good pitching during its current 6-game win streak, but I say that Steele is simply in the wrong place, at the wrong time this evening. Consider the Giants on Thursday night!
