I think the A's have a legitimate shot at winning this contest outright. The A's won the opener of this series by a score of 5-4 and I'm expecting another close contest here as well. Texas went into the break on a bit of a run, but the oddsmakers are still overreacting here. There's no way that Taylor Hearn should be favored here on the road. He's 4-6 with a 5.78 ERA and 1.67 WHIP. Yes he has a better win/loss record than James Kaprielian of the A's, but Kaprielian's 5.09 ER and 1.36 WHIP are better. Everything points to another game that's going to be decided late, or even in extras, so because of that I'm laying the price for the extra 1.5 runs in my back pocket; the play is Oakland on the runline option!
