This is the fourth game of this four game series. Detroit won the first two, before Kansas City bounced back in yesterday's 3-1 victory. So far all three games have fallen well "under" the number, but we can expect that trend to end today. This number is now just a bit too low. The Tigers see Tyler Alexander take the hill, and he's 0-0 with a 5.06 ERA, while the home side sees Carlos Hernandez toe the slab, and he's 0-0 with an 8.31 ERA. Herandez has faced Detroit four times in his career and he's 0-1 with a ballooned 5.84 ERA (he's already served up 8 walks over 12 1/3's innings.) Alexander makes his first official start against the KC, but he's 1-1 with a sub-par 5.19 ERA over 7 appearances vs. them. I have no faith in either starter.
