Florida turned in a strong second half performance in beating Arkansas 66-50 on Thursday afternoon. The Razorbacks failed to make a single basket over the game's final 7:54. The Gators "reward" for winning that game is a quarterfinal date with the SEC's top seed LSU. These teams split a pair of games in the regular season. Both went to overtime and both times the road team emerged victorious. With LSU head coach Will Wade on leave (due to the NCAA scandal), we think public sentiment will be against the Tigers. But don't make that mistake. LSU has been defying skeptics this entire season. They are 26-5 overall, 16-2 in SEC play and have won five straight games (5-0 ATS too!). Their two conference losses were a one-point loss to Arkansas and the OT loss to Florida. Florida had lost three in a row before yesterday's win. LSU is a perfect 7-0 ATS this season in games where the line is three points or less. Obviously, the fact the Tigers had off yesterday while Florida had to play a game is a huge benefit.
