Point Spread: 21.00 | -105.00 Ohio (Away)
Result: Loss
This is an 8* MAC ATTACK on Ohio.
We played this line the moment it came out and unfortunately got a horrible one (+14.5 +100), most of the rest of you would have gotten +21 or perhaps better. Sometimes playing lines early benefits us, but it also works the other way just as much and that is unfortunately the case here. We still like this selection even with our crummy line and feel that Ohio can catch Bowling Green a bit complacent and look for it to keep this one a lot closer than what the oddsmakers are leading us to believe. First off, it's a big game for both team's as far as competing for the conference championship. Ohio will clearly be looking to slow down Falcon QB Matt Johnson, who is coming off a huge October in which he had 16 TD's to just one INT. Ohio though won't be rolling over and it's performed extremely well for bettors in this spot, going 3-1 ATS in its last four after two or more consecutive SU losses and is already 2-0 ATS as an underdog this season. And note, despite its torrid run, Bowling Green is only 3-4 ATS in its last seven vs. teams with losing records and only 2-3 ATS in its last five following a bye week. Play on OHIO.
