This is an 8* GOALTENDER BATTLE on the UNDER between the Philadelphia Flyers and the Vancouver Canucks.
Vancouver got back on track with a convincing 5-1 rout of the previously unbeaten Habs on Tuesday, ending the clubs 0-2-3 start at home. The Canucks have only won back-to-back games once this year, but have to be feeling pretty good they can accomplish that feat, as they'd take both games vs. the Flyers last season by a combined 8-1 margin. Philadelphia comes in off a 3-1 loss to Buffalo in the opener of its five-game trip, falling to 0-2-1 in its last three and 1-2-1 away from home. The Flyers power play has been atrocious of late, going 0 for 10 over its last four overall; and that doesn't bode well for the visitors facing Canucks' goaltender Ryan Miller, who has shutouts in each of his last two matchups with the Flyers, stopping 30 shots in a 4-0 win in Philadelphia back on January 15th. Note that Philadelphia has seen the total go UNDER the number in 19 of its last 30 when playing with two days of rest, while Vancouver has seen the total dip below the posted number in in all four games it's played this year vs. clubs with losing records. Play on the UNDER.
