Result: Win
This is a 10* ASSASSIN on the Baltimore Ravens.
Baltimore is suffering through one of its worst starts in franchise history and is already winless in three games out West this season. We jumped on this line when it first came out and got just +7.5 and it's since gone up, but regardless, we think the still hungry visitors keep this one a lot closer than what the oddsmakers are leading us to believe. The Cards rank near the top of the league in almost every offensive category, while the Ravens are near the bottom in the defensive statistics. And that's the reason why the spread is so large, however Arizona's offense looked pretty ordinary in last week's 25-13 loss at Pittsburgh, a team which was playing with its third string QB. Pittsburgh has some great offensive talent, but the defense is in the middle of the pack, meaning that Baltimore's beleaguered unit has an opportunity to start turning things around today. Also note that the Ravens are no slouches themselves on the offensive side of the ball ranking ninth in average yards per game, we'll give the nod to Super Bowl winner Joe Flacco over Carson Palmer. The Cards have been pretty consistent on the defensive side too and rank in the top 1/3rd in the league, but note that Arizona has in fact struggled in this spot for bettors, just 4-5 ATS in its last nine non-conference contests, while Baltimore is 6-2 ATS in the same position and 8-5 ATS in its last 13 vs. teams with winning records. Grab as many points as you can with the RAVENS.
