This is an 8* PUCK-LINE DESTRUCTION on the Columbus Blue Jackets.

No need to overanalyze this one in our opinion, the 0-7 Blue Jackets are off to a franchise worst start which prompted the team fire its head coach and hire John Tortorella. A bonus for Columbus is it gets to escape the local media, it plays its next eight on the road and while most won't be giving the team much of a chance, we feel this is a perfect opportunity for it to take advantage of. Note that Columbus has in fact outscored Minnesota 13-5 while winning the last five meetings, which comes in off a 4-1 loss to Anaheim on Sunday, its second straight defeat. Note that Columbus is 17-16 (+2.5 units) after scoring one goal or less in its previous contest, while Minnesota is 19-21 (-6.3 units) after a loss by two goals or more in its previous game. We believe this one will be decided late or in the extra periods so have no problems at all in laying what we feel to be a very fair mid-sized price for the extra 1.5 goals of insurance.
