Total: 5.00 | -122.00 Over
Result: Win
This is a 10* TOTAL OF THE WEEK on the UNDER between the Montreal Canadiens and the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Both teams enter with high expectations for the 2015/16 season. Montreal is expected to make a deeper playoff push this year, led by all-star goaltender Carey Price and a talented line-up, while Toronto debut's its big acquisition in coach Mike Babcock. Price led the NHL in save percentage, goals-against average and wins last year; note that Price has won five straight against Toronto while posting a 1.94 GAA in the process. The Habs took all four from the Leafs last year, two in the shootout. Toronto's expectations are not the same as Montreal's though, the team is in the first year of a rebuilding process, leaning heavily on center Nazem Kadri, defenseman Morgan Reilly and Jake Gardiner. Defenseman Dion Phaneuf remains the biggest name on the roster. No. 1 goaltender Jonathan Bernier was 21-28-7 with a 2.87 GAA last year, there's no question that he'll be looking to return to form in 2015. We're banking on Price and Bernier to keep their teams in this one and look for this competitiveness to produce a lower-scoring affair, play on the UNDER.
