This is an 8* BLOCKBUSTER on Iowa State.
The Cyclones are 1-0 after beating UNI last week, the team got big offensive contributions from a number of different players including Quenton Bundrage, who had five catches for 53 yards. Dondre Daley caught four passes for 70 yards and a TD, while Allen Lazard had four catches and a major score in the third quarter. The bottom line is that senior QB Sam B. Richardson has plenty of weapons at his disposal, we definitely look for the home side to match pace with the Hawkeyes. While once a weakness, the offensive line has slowly become a strength, the unit has 80 career starts together, including five starters from last year. The Cyclones' defense would hold the Panthers to 302 total yards of offense and just 7 points to go along with two recovered turnovers last week. Iowa's CJ Beathard also has plenty of weapons as well, including Tevaun Smith, who will look to take advantage of his size in this matchup. But from a trend based stand point, this play is about as strong as you could possibly ask for as note that Iowa is just 5-6 ATS in its last 11 non-conference games, while Iowa State is 5-3 ATS in the same position. We won't try to convince you that the Cyclones are the better team, they aren't, but we feel there are enough situational and strong motivational factors working in their favor for them to at the very least, sneak in through the back door down the stretch. Play on IOWA STATE.
