Both Chris Sale and Felix Hernandez are their team's undisputed No. 1 starting aces, however each has looked pretty ordinary and frankly downright awful at times this season. That said, all signs would point to a classic pitchers duel tonight and when the smoke clears at the end of this one, we're expecting the total to sneak below the posted number. Sale (11-8, 3.32 ERA) went seven scoreless and struck out 15 in a win over the Cubs on Sunday. Sale has been solid all year on the road as well, posting a 6-4, 3.75 ERA. Hernandez is coming off a dud in which he was shelled for nine runs in just 2 1/3's innings vs. the Red Sox on Saturday. It was the fourth time that "The King" has given up at least seven earned runs this year, notable as he'd have just one start in 2014 in which he gave up more than five runs. Hernandez though has bounced back nicely each time after getting destroyed and has to be feeling confident that trend will continue here as he's 9-4 with a respectable 3.00 ERA at home this season. Consider a second look at the UNDER in this one.
