AAA's 3-GM Friday Night OBLITERATION PASS!
(NCAAF) Washington vs. Boise State,
Point Spread: 10.50 | -107.00 Washington (Away)
Result: Win
This is an 8* play on Washington.

We won't call for the outright upset victory here, but we do definitely think these two teams are more evenly matched than what the oddsmakers are leading us to believe as we expect Washington to comfortably sneak in through the back door down the stretch.

The Huskies:

Second year coach Chris Peterson's job to start the season will be to ascertain who will secure the starting QB position, as KJ Carta-Samuels and Jake Browning both have looked sharp in Spring. Whoever starts, he'll be leaning heavily upon RB Dwayne Washington, the Huskies' leading rusher in just half the season is back in 2015/16. The new QB will also have a ton of different dynamic options to throw to, Jaydon Mickens and Dante Pettis are always a threat to go deep. Defense is the biggest question mark for the Huskies as they graduated all four starters and now move to a truer 3-4 alignment. The secondary was a weakness last year, but it's now the team's defensive strength; keep your eyes on free safety Budda Baker, who collected 80 tackles last season.

The Broncos:

Bryan Harsin led his team to 12 wins in his first year as head coach, including a 38-30 victory over Arizona in the Fiesta Bowl. 17 starters return, but the team does have two massive holes to fill as both QB Grant Hedrick and RB Jay Ajayi are gone. These two players won't be easy to replace, they accounted for a whopping 89.1 percent of the Bronco's yards and 92.4 percent of the offensive TD's last season. Also note that the program changed offensive coordinators again. Ryan Finley is expected to step into Hedrick's position, while Jeremy McNichols will replace Ajayi. Normally a strength in year's past, the Bronco's defense was a work in progress last year, but it does return many starters and will be improved this season.

The bottom line:

Peterson has had success wherever he's been, but obviously the Huskies are still a work in progress this season. That said, we think WASHINGTON can have success with its system and can take advantage of a Boise State team that will be breaking in an untested offense. Grab as many points as you can.
