The visitors hand the ball to Zack Greinke (9-2, 1.30 ERA) who went eight scoreless in a 5-0 win over the Nats on Sunday, pushing his scoreless innings streak an amazing 43 2/3's. Greinke would surrender one walk while striking out a season-best 11 batters in the performance. There's no end in sight to this man's dominance, he's won four straight starts, which is likely bad news for Jonathan Niese (5-8, 3.36 ERA) and the Mets. The home side certainly won't just be rolling over today though and Niese comes in with plenty of momentum as well after going 7 2/3's innings vs. the Cards on Sunday, giving up no runs while scattering five hits in the process, unfortunate to receive a no-decision for his effort. Recent performance is an important factor to consider when handicapping baseball and with each starter coming into this contest on top form, there's no question that the UNDER is a viable investment opportunity in this one.
