The visitors hand the ball to Trevor May (4-5, 4.03 ERA) who has quietly been putting together a great stretch, most recently he'd give up one run off seven hits over six innings in an unfortunate no-decision vs. the Cubs on Saturday. Note that it was his fifth quality start over his last seven outings (and note that May sports a respectable 3.26 ERA in all "night" games this year). The home side counters with Kyle Lohse (3-9, 6.30 ERA) who will clearly be motivated here after losing his fifth straight to the Rockies on Saturday, unfortunate as it was a pretty good performance overall, allowing three runs over six innings, giving up just four hits while striking out five. In my professional opinion, I think it's safe to say that we don't have to question Lohse's focus in this one. Recent performance always plays a part in my MLB handicapping process, both of these starters come in with momentum and I think the table is indeed set for these two to battle into the latter frames. As such, I'll recommend taking a second look at the UNDER in this one.
