Kendall Graveman (3-4, 4.02 ERA) will get the start for the A's in this one, he most recently was tagged with a loss vs. the Padres on Thursday, allowing two earned runs over seven innings, ultimately giving up five hits while walking one batter and striking out six. Graveman has to be feeling pretty confident that he can return to the winners circle today as he's a fantastic 3-1 with a tiny 1.78 ERA on the road this year. The home side counters with Wandy Rodriguez (4-2, 3.20 ERA), who despite giving up nine hits to the Dodgers on Wednesday, still came away with the victory after throwing 5 2/3's innings and allowing three runs. The veteran has now given up just seven earned runs over his last three starts combined and take note that he's 3-2 with a highly respectable 3.72 ERA in all "night" games this year. Recent performance always plays a role in my MLB handicapping process, both starters come in on top form and there's no reason to think they won't battle deep into this one, I'd seriously recommend taking a long hard look at the UNDER in this matchup.
