Point Spread: 1.50 | -145.00 Tampa Bay (Away)
Result: Win
This is an 8* RUN-LINE DESTRUCTION on the Tampa Bay Rays.
The visitors hand the ball to Erasmo Ramirez (6-2, 4.45 ERA) who would shut out the Nationals in a 6-1 win on Monday, going seven innings, scattering five hits and striking out four. Ramirez has now given up a total of three runs over over his last four starts and is 5-1 with a 4.98 ERA in all night games. The home side counters with Corey Kluber (3-8, 3.54 ERA) who is coming off a third straight loss to Detroit on Sunday, giving up two runs off four hits over five innings. Kluber has looked brilliant at times this season and extremely pedestrian in others, so far he's 2-3 with a 2.88 ERA in front of the home town crowd. This is a great situational play in my opinion, the oddsmakers are slow in recognizing how well Ramirez is throwing right now, with the public quick to back the Cy Young award winner, we're getting tremendous value on the visitors. So in a contest which I believe will be decided late or in extras, I have no problems at all laying what I deem to be a very reasonable mid-sized price for the extra 1.5 runs of insurance; play on the RAYS on the RUN-LINE.
