AAA's VERY-EARLY SITUATIONAL PITCHING MISMATCH!
(MLB) Washington vs. NY Yankees,
Money Line: -119.00 NY Yankees (Home)
Result: Loss
This is a 7* PITCHING MISMATCH on the New York Yankees.

I look for the hot-hitting Yankees' momentum to get carried over in this afternoon contest and think we're getting pretty good line value. New York is gunning for its first eight-game winning streak in nearly three years and first eight-game win skein at home in almost five. One player to keep your eyes on is Stephen Drew, who had two home runs in yesterday's 6-1 victory. The Nats continue to slide, they lost their third straight and ninth in 11 and will now have to contend with Nathan Eovaldi (5-1, 4.16 ERA) who, like his team, comes into this match-up on top form, going 2-0 with a 2.65 ERA in his last three starts after giving up one run in 5 1/3's innings of Friday's 8-7 win over the Angels (and note that Eovaldi has been particularly dominant at home of late, winning three straight while posting a 2.50 ERA in the process). The visitors counter with Gio Gonzalez (4-3, 4.57 ERA) who has gone 1-5 with a ballooned 7.30 ERA in seven career starts vs. the Evil Empire. Gonzalez would walk four in Thursday's 2-1 loss to the Cubs, giving up both runs off four hits over six innings, moving him to a poor 1-1 with a 5.86 ERA in his last five outings (and note that Gonzalez is 2-2 with a 5.71 ERA in six road starts this year). Eovaldi gets the slight nod on the bump for me in this match-up and that's going to be more than enough to tip the scales in our favor, play on the YANKEES.
