This is a 10* O/U ART OF THE GAME on the OVER between the St. Louis Cardinals and the LA Dodgers.
A couple of extremely capable and top of the league starters battle in the finale of this three game set, but when the smoke clears at the end of this one, I'm expecting the total to sneak above the posted number. The home side hands the ball to Zack Greinke (5-1, 1.97 ERA) who is 21-5 with a 2.25 ERA in 38 home starts since joining the Dodgers; note though that Greinke looked horrible in his last outing, giving up season-highs of five runs off ten hits over six frames in his team's eventual 9-8 win over the Rockies on Tuesday. The Dodgers finally broke through in the win column vs. their arch-nemesis in last night's 2-0 victory and will look to jump on Lance Lynn (4-4, 3.03 ERA) who gave up five hits over 7 2/3's innings in a 1-0 win over the Brewers on Tuesday. Note though, this is a spot that Lynn has struggled mightily in all season, he's dropped two of his last three on the road while posting a ballooned 5.82 ERA in the process. And finally note, Lynn was shelled for seven runs off nine hits over just two innings in a 9-1 loss in his most recent regular season start at Dodger Stadium on June 28th. I think this number is just a little low, play on the OVER.
