Money Line: -139.00 LA Angels (Home)
Result: Win
Money Line: -139.00 LA Angels (Home)
Result: Win
This is a 10* AMERICAN LEAGUE GAME OF THE MONTH on the LA Angels.
Detroit has won two straight, but I think that this match-up favors the home side and believe we're getting pretty good line value here in a contest which I expect will end up with a lop-sided result. The under-manned visitors turn to Buck Farmer, he was called up to make his season debut today after going 0-1 with a 15.63 ERA in two August starts last year. Unfortunately for Farmer, his team has gone a brutal 15-41 at Angel Stadium since 2002. And that's good news for LA starter CJ Wilson (2-3, 3.36 ERA) who has gone 10-2 with a 3.56 ERA in his last 18 in front of the home town crowd; also note that Wilson is 2-2 with a highly respectable 2.23 ERA in seven "night" games this season. Wilson has been "off and on" vs. the Tigers lifetime, but has dominated them throughout his career at home, where he's 1-0 with a 1.98 ERA in two match-ups. Both of these hard-hitting clubs have been scuffling at the plate of late, so we'll call that area a "wash," but as far as talent on the mound goes, this is one of the biggest lop-sided discrepancies that I've seen all month, play on the ANGELS.
