This is a 7* BIG-CHALK CHOKE-OUT on the LA Dodgers.
LA continues to struggle at the plate, but a clear pitching mismatch on the mound will prove to be the difference maker today, I have no problem at all laying this price in a contest which I believe will be end up being a lop-sided rout. Remember, despite the recent hitting slump, the Dodgers are still among the highest scoring teams in the league at 4.7 runs per game. Zack Greinke is 5-1 with a tiny 1.52 ERA this year and is 22-2 with a 1.94 ERA in 33 intradivision starts since joining the team two years ago. Also note that Greinke is 5-0 with a 1.58 ERA in nine career outings vs. the Friars, giving up just one run and six hits over 13 frames in two meetings this year. And that's bad news for the Padres who have hit a paltry .184 and scored 12 runs while dropping five of their last six. The visitors turn to Andrew Cashner who is 1-7 with a 3.24 ERA, going 0-5 with a 3.55 ERA in his last five outings. Cashner has struggled against LA throughout his career and would give up six runs and eight hits over five innings of a 7-4 loss at Dodger Stadium on April 8th. This one has all the makings of an epic destruction, play on the DODGERS.
