I think we're getting pretty good value on the surging home side in this match-up. The visitors send Mike Fiers (1-4, 5.00 ERA) to the mound; Fiers is coming off a no-decision in which he gave up two runs off five hits with one walk while striking out seven over 6 1/3's innings in his team's eventual 4-2 defeat to the White Sox on Tuesday. Fiers is 1-1 with a 2.31 ERA in two starts on the road and faces off against Kyle Lobstein (3-3, 4.33 ERA) who is coming off an outing to forget in which he gave up six runs off seven hits with one walk over 2 1/3's innings while striking out just one in a 6-2 loss to the Twins on Wednesday; it was clearly Lobstein's worst game of the year so far, but he definitely benefits in being able to throw in front of the home town crowd today. I think Fiers once again takes a step back today, play on DETROIT.
