Veteran Bartolo Colon has an opportunity to become the league's first seven game winner; Colon is 6-1 with a 3.30 ERA and looks to continue his strong start, he'd most recently give up four runs over six frames in a 7-4 win in Philadelphia on Sunday; note that he would extend his streak of innings without a walk to 40 1/3. New York will surely be ultra motivated as well after getting swept four games by the Cubbies, blowing a four-run lead in a 6-5 loss in yesterday's finale. Note that the Mets are 13-3 at home this year and clearly benefit in facing one of MLB's lowest batting averages (.228) and on-base percentages (.285), the Brewers would total just four runs and ten hits in back-to-back losses to the White Sox, falling 4-2 on Wednesday. The visitors counter with Kyle Lohse (2-4, 7.03 ERA) who is 0-2 with a ballooned 6.92 ERA in two road outings this year, failing to last beyond the fifth inning in each. I think Colon and the METS are the correct call here, lay what I feel is a very reasonable mid-sized price with confidence.
