The Cubs would rally for a second straight game on Thursday, erasing a four run deficit to beat the Mets 6-5. Kyle Hendricks is 0-1 with a pedestrian 4.65 ERA, but he's looked much better of late, most recently going 5 1/3's scoreless innings in his teams eventual 3-2 loss in 11 at Milwaukee on Sunday. The visitors counter with Jeff Locke (2-2, 4.71 ERA), who has looked pretty good at times and pretty bad in others. Locke gave up four runs in five innings in his team's eventual 5-4 win over the Cubs in late April and then was chased after giving up six runs and eight hits with three walks over 3 2/3's in a 6-2 loss five days later. Recent performance is an important factor I think that is often overlooked in the day to day grind, this is clearly a match-up that favors the CUBS hitters, great line value in my professional opinion.
