This is a 10* TOTAL BLOCKBUSTER on the OVER between the New York Rangers and the Washington Capitals.
For a number of different reasons I expect this total to eclipse the posted number as the game comes down the stretch. I had the OVER in Game 3 and the Capitals would hold on for the 1-0 win, obviously a bad call. However, with the lowest total in the 2014/15 NHL Playoffs thus far, I think the value is simply too good to turn down on the higher number today. From a situational stand point, this play is strong: while each club has gotten superb goaltending to this point, neither has been able to generate much of an offensive push and because of that, I think we're going to see a much more open paced game and a quick affair means more shots and more shots = more points. And from an O/U trend based stand point, this play becomes even stronger as New York has seen the total go OVER the number in 14 of 24 when trying to revenge a loss vs. an opponent and in 12 of 20 road games where the total is five or less, while Washington has seen the total sail above the posted number in eight of 14 this season after scoring one goal or less in its previous contest and in six of nine after shutting out its opponent in its previous game.
